University of Houston point guard Kingston Flemings selected No.8 by Hawks in 2026 NBA Draft

BROOKLYN, Texas (KTRK) -- Welcome to the NBA, Kingston Flemings!

The 6-foot-3 point guard was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the eighth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday night. The second-team All-American looks to contribute to the Hawks right away in the second unit with his high-level speed, playmaking, and scoring ability. Atlanta is led by All-Star forward Jalen Johnson as well as veterans including Nickeil Alexander-Walker and C.J. McCollum.

Flemings averaged 16.1 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.1 rebounds with the Houston Cougars for the 2025-2026 season.
